Your Pre-shoot guide
Hello, and thanks for booking me to create beautiful photos and memories of your 4 legged friend.
I’m sure you might have a few questions about your photoshoot, so here I’ll try to answer them.
I’m all about giving you and your family memories to cherish forever.
A photoshoot with your dog should be a fun experience with the reward of beautiful photos to cherish forever, that’s what I’m here to give you.
All about your photoshoot
Can my dog wear a lead and collar during the photoshoot?
This is probably the question I get asked the most.
If your dog is happy off of the lead, then this is great, but don’t worry if you want to keep you dog on the lead, I can work my magic in photoshop.
To help me work this magic if you can use as thin a lead and collar as possible, it will make it easier to remove from the photos.
How long will our photoshoot take?
Your photoshoot will take from 1 – 2 hours.
I don’t want to rush you, so allow for 2.5 hours, we’ll likely finish sooner if you’re dog is a superstar model! 🙂
Where will my photoshoot take place?
We will have discussed the exact location when booking your photoshoot.
I like to avoid busy parks and open space and instead look for forest paths and flower meadows.
Do you photograph me with my dog?
Of course I can do this if you wish!
While your photoshoot is about your dog, it’s lovely to photograph you both together.
Do I need to bring anything the photoshoot?
Yes – water and rewards for your dog.
The rewards can be in the form of dog treats, or your dogs favourite toy.
It’s important to reward your dog between shots, so giving them a treat or their favourite ball is a great way to let them know they are doing a great job and they will carry on doing it.
Every dog is different, so bring the reward that your dog responds to best.
What safety precautions do you take?
Your dogs safety and comfort is always the most important consideration, so I will always keep an eye on your dog to check they are not becoming bored or agitated.
We won’t stay in one place for too long.
It’s important your dog enjoys the expereince, so they should be rewarded after each photo to know they are doing a good job.
